COMMUNITY MISSION 

FOR JESUS

Our church is very active in the local Community Mission for Jesus activity. 

FIVE PRACTICES

A voluntary member team that gets together each month to discuss, develop and execute tactics that accomplish each of the  five objectives of a fruitful church; Radical Hospitality, Passionate Worship, Intentional Faith Development, Risk-Taking Mission and Service, and Extravagant Generosity. All are welcome! 

CANDLELIGHT GUILD

Our Candlelight Guild leverages member talents to design, develop and implement special events that support the church financially and strengthen its role in our community.  The Guild hosts Saturday Night Soup Suppers, a Summer Brat Fry, occasional Tag Sales and an annual Holiday Bazaar to raise funds for church initiatives. This year we launched a new initiative to raise funds for UCC Summer Camp Scholarships for our young members.  All are welcome to join!

STEPPING STONES

Our members support Stepping Stones, a non-profit organization that provides free support services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Taylor County, Wisconsin. We consistently provide financial support, office equipment and supplies, kitchen supplies, bed linens and bathroom items to help them continue their valuable work.

PRAYER SHAWLS

Many of our members gather with others from churches in the area to share the spiritual practice of of creating beautiful prayer shawls. The shawls are donated to people in our community who are undergoing medical procedures, need comfort after a loss or in times of stress and bereavement, who are birthing or nursing a baby, or recovering from an illness.

BLESSING BOX

Our church members and members of our community at large donate non-perishable foodstuffs and other necessaries to our Blessing Box on a regular basis. The Blessing Box is located near the entrance door on the East side of the church. Take what you need and contribute when you can.

GLOBAL MINISTRIES

OUR CHURCH'S WIDER MISSION

 Our Church’s Wider Mission (OCWM) funds the work we do in the Associations, Conferences and in the national and global church. OCWM funds are invested in programs, resources, and tools needed to keep local UCC churches strong, effective, and growing.  Our church is proud to be a "5 for 5" church, Being 5 for 5 means that our  church is a leader, providing support to Our Church’s Wider Mission and the Special Mission Offerings: One Great Hour of Sharing, Strengthen The Church, Neighbors In Need and The Christmas Fund.
