FIRST WEDNESDAY OF MONTH
Midweek Devotions 5:30 PM
At a time when religion is too often portrayed as narrow-minded and exclusive, we are rasising our voices for alternative vision. One where God is all-loving and inclusive. Where the Church of Jesus Christ welcomes and accepts everyone as they are. Where your mind is nourished as much as your soul. Where Jesus the healer meets Jesus the revolutionary. Where together we grow a just and peaceful world.
Every visitor is also invited to share in the Sacrament of Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. And all children are invited to our virtual Sunday School session held each week during the church service at 9:00 am .
See you here!
ABOUT UCC
A church of firsts and of extravagant welcome. A church where "they may all be one" (John 17:21).
The United Church of Christ (UCC) is a distinct and diverse community of Christians that come together as one church to join faith and action. With over 5,000 churches and nearly one million members across the U.S., the UCC serves God in the co-creation of a just and sustainable world.
Since 1957, the United Church of Christ has been the church of firsts, weaving God’s message of hope and extravagant welcome with action for justice and peace. Together, we live out our faith in ways that effect change in our communities. Our church works to help make a difference in local, national and global communities.
A DECEMBER MESSAGE
FROM OUR PASTOR
As lovely as December can be we know it can also be a month that stretches hearts thin. Some among are grieving. Some are exhausted. Some are lonley in ways they don't have the words to name. And for many the holidays stir memories that ache a little. This is where the Church shines-not through perfection, but through presence. As Christians, we are called to be bearers of peace, compassion and love. Sometimes that means offering a warm meal, a listening ear, or a quiet moment where someone can simply breathe agan. In this season may we choose to be gentle. May we choose to see one another. May we carry the light of Christ into the places where shadows linger.
My prayer for you this month is simple: May you find quiet moments of wonder. May you feel God's nearness in unexpected places. May you receive the love you so freely give. And may we, as a community, become living reminders that hope is never far from home.
With peace & gratitude,
Pastor Tamara
